Okay so I've been working on a couple of scene that have required alot, of using ,translation and rotation ,and panning the camera ,well frequently,I'll be panning the camera ,when it seems like Studio blinks or burps and suddenly my cursor has vanished ......and I can't get it to come back ...... in order to close Studio I have to blindly scroll around until some icon hylights so I can figure out where the cursor is to get it where I can close Studio. It's agravateing!! the only plus is I have learned to save frequently!!
I'm useing a windows Vista 64 bit ,and DazStudio 4.5 .1.56 pro and I can't make heads or tails out of the log file
Any thoughts or suggestion welcome!! Please !!

I have run into the same problem on multiple occasions. Usually when my PC's resources run out

I used to have a very similar problem in some of the later versions of D|S3. It's a video card driver problem, you'll need to check the manufacturer's website to see if there's a more recent driver version.

Edit>Preferences>Interface and click on the "Current Hardware Features" button to get your video system specs as D|S sees them. Your exact card type should be on that list under "Hardware".

Then go onto the NVidia website and select "Drivers", then follow the instructions to find the right driver for your system.

Whenever you close using the x in the corner or the alt+f4 method in any windows program (unless they are non-standard) it pops up a dialog box to save/cancel/close. Try it on a scene with some minor modification.

Oh well that's good to know, now to find my sticky notes and make a note ........though if I keep on with the sticky notes I'm either gonna have to get a bigger monitor ,or better glasses cause I won't be able to see the monitor through all the sticky notes ........
    Thank you Gedd

Hey Mercedesk , I ended up having to get a new mouse ,before the issue stopped .I still don't know if it was a problem with DS or just the issue with the old mouse ,my work around was to save as a scene preset frequently....... so I didn't lose much work and just restart DS.

Another thought I remember it happening when I was adjust camera view most frequently,or hopping between content tab and scene tab ..... is that what's causing the vanishing cursor on yours??

Because of the scene I'm building - I'm no doubt doing all of that - LOL - it's enough to make you pull your hair and scream at the top of your lung capacity.

New mouse huh? Well - payday I will be doing just that. I pray that's the problem.
Question - has anyone used this mouse with your 3D stuff? Poser or Daz Studio?

I've only had the cursor disappear once or twice, but I recalled reading something I'd read (I think) here and did a right click on the mouse and that brought the cursor back into visibility.

Simeon I right clicked when the mouse disappeared ,I left clicked, I center clicked, I cussed alot!! I popped the roller ball out and cleaned it ......and I cussed somemore when none of that did a bit of good . I even got up and walked away "Do not hit the computer,do not hit the computer"
the disappearing cursor happened alot ,for about a month straight ........ hasn't happened once since I got the new mouse ......of course now that I've stated that Murphy's Law will kick in and my cursor will start disappearing again ......UGH!!

FYI, as far as I know the Uber Mice will only work in DAZ Studio if they are programmable, so they can mimic the hot key functions in DAZ Studio.

For the Cursor errors it can be the GPU, Graphic card, driver or the Mouse driver or even a combo of both that causes the error. Also be sure your OpenGL version is up to date and the highest version you can run or DAZ Studio can support depending on your card.
