Saving character presets

I''m trying to save a custom morph and I get the error message, "You must select a TriAx weight mapped figure in the scene to save a character preset."

Anything that can be done about this?

Use the old script-based format instead, under File>Save as>Deprecated>

Thank you; excuse my stupidity but now it's saying "no morphs to be saved," even when the character is selcected in the field. Am I missing something?

Ok; Instead of saving as a character preset it's a lot more convenient to save as a scene subset. Thanks!

Depends on what you mean by "custom morph", if it's a dial spun morph using a combination of other peoples morphs, then for Genesis you use character preset or shaping preset, for Gen3 or Gen4 figures you use the old depreciated character preset. If it's a morph you have made yourself in a modeling program, then for Genesis you use "save as > support asset > morph asset", if it's for Gen3 or 4 then you need to use the EXP exporter in DS4 to create the INJ/REM files.

Saving as a scene subset is fine so long as you don't mind using that DUF file every time you want to use that morph, lose or damage that DUF and you lose your morph as it wont load from any where else.

Thank you for the explanation; I can save as a .dsa file by using save as-deprcated, but I cannot load that file into the scene. I get the eror message "That action requires an item within the scene to be selected", and then it deletes the model I have selected.
