I haven't gotten into creating textures much, but I'm having a blast with FF in postwork. Lots of crazy options with all the filters. I've just recently put it in my workflow and get some really interesting, unexpected results. Half the fun is downloading new filters and testing them out on random renders. LOL
Here's one I did with a "dreamer" filter and another with a "ghost filter." Just messing around. The HDRI ones do some really neat things too.
Hi there!
I just bought FF but i don't know how to use it in DAZ.
Any help?
Cheers!
Filter Forge isn't used in Daz Studio, it's a stand-alone application (or plug-in for Photoshop and other applications that can use Photoshop plug-ins) that can be used both to create textues for application to models and to modify finished renders.
You don't, as Richard already said, use FF in DAZ Studio, but you can use it with DAZ Studio. You can make excellent postwork with it, one of my fav filters is Paint HDRtist and I have a postwork filter in the repository too.
Another great usage is to make textures or texture overlays, look at Texture Overlay by by Mike Blackney for some ideas.
Wow, I just read my 2017 response about Algorithmic's Substance suite (about them not forcing a subscription on you)... Funny how much can change in a few years.
