Got my picture in the paper... bloody hell, wish I'd shaved first... The bike is, without a doubt,, the best bike I've ever owned. Trek 7100. Good old person bike!

Ah, your in Livermore. I'm in Redwood City. You don't look bad at all! Nice bike from what I can see of it! lol
No way! When I was driving last year I used to be in Redwood City a LOT! I was a paratransit driver for about ten months. Nice to know I have neighbours locally :)
And yah, I raced bicycles for about a year, years and years ago, (dangerous sport, I was increadibly stupid!) and this is by far a better bike than anything I had then... it's about 80lbs fully loaded...
Hiya Neighbor. I don't drive. I'm a bus person. Not one of the crazy ones I might add! lmao
RamWolf, after the whole Pig Morph fiasco... I think you better learn to drive :) Amnesty International has an office just up the road from you! :P
HAHAHA.. I always miss out on the fun stuff! :P
You must be fit to ride that with those heavy bags on it!
The only issue comes in a headwind and up hill. Other than that, it's like they're NOT there!! Jandd makes really well balanced stuff... I am very, very pleased with the settup.
...got an ol' '82 Stumpjumper (yep the "original") that I ride. This baby's like the Harley of bikes. Big but still light. Picked it up at a yard sale for 35$. Needed a lot of work to get back in top running shape but the frame alone is worth more than that (actually had offers upwards of 750$ just for the frame, but for me, it's a "keeper").
Set it up for daily commuting with a 7 gear rear cluster that has a 4 - 1 top gear ratio to keep up with city traffic, double walled rims (for our lovely potholed streets) with nice fat street tyres for those rainy days, super bright rechargeable halogen headlight, and a rear strobe almost as bright as an aircraft's (it really pays to be seen at night). It has wide handelbars which when I'm riding at night with my leather jacket on and the headlight at full power, motorists intersections think I'm on a motorcycle and actually wait at the cross streets (helps to have one of those old 60s look white & black "CHP" styled helmets).
Used to commute on it daily, rain or shine, day or night until my company moved across the metro area and beyond a ridge of hills with long 5 - 6% grades (ain't no Lance Armstrong & the only "juice" I do is coloured orange, occasionally spiked with a bit of wodka).
Still when I was riding was in great shape. Now even a mild hill is a challenge sometimes. However, being "semi retired", am taking the opportunity to get back out to do some serious riding again.
Wancow I spent 3 years riding a bike to and from work ,I will say I am so grateful to have a car again, cause it sure seemed to me that no matter which way I was going the wind was more often against me ..........and while I know sailboats can tack against the wind ,I couldn't figure out how to do it on a bicycle .........
Hey Rammie ,are ya sure you aren't one of the crazy ones?? Sorry I just couldn't help myself !!
I'm only crazy a leeetle beet! :P
Cause it's a good crazy !!
:P :P :P
Ummm ya know if ya leave that hanging out like that .......someone will expect you to use it for other things ..........like lickin stamps !!!
Ewwwwwwwwwww.... I use the sticky stamps. No more glue tongue for this wolffie! lol
hahaahhhaahhahaahahah!!!
OMG, I so remember those days! ~phew~ Self sticking stamps and envelopes are the only way to go now-a-days.
I hear ya B. Not had to lick anything gluey in years. Now on the other hand.... I like licking .... oh never mind! Cho will beat me! :P
Yer fur !!??
Yea, that! :P
