There should be a button for setting the Collision target under Mesh Smoothing in the Parameters pane.

when \i set a pose the shoes fly off the feet even tho they are fit to genesis. Is there something else I need to do? Parent them?

Are you certain you're setting the pose to the person, and not the shoes?

The info in your first post should give you a clue. :) Collision = Telling Daz Studio that one item is to Collide with another so it fits the shape perfectly without any pokethrough. If you didn't do this then the garter and shoes would fit the body going though the stocking mesh and no over the stocking.

Do the shoes have a "Fit To" command in the Parameters Pane?

I figured that's what it meant but couldn't find where to find the setting to do it , Now I know where it is so won't have to ask that one again :)

where it said to use the shoe pose I just double clicked on it and it applied, I didn't know there were options to apply to person or shoes, I will check again

The foot pose should be applied to Genesis, not the shoes. The shoes are automatically applied to the flat-footed character, but by adding the foot pose to Genesis, the heels will lie flat against the ground, as a woman would wearing heeled shoes. It's usually best to apply the pose after your character has been put into the right general pose. It only affects the feet, but it works well with existing pose sets if applied last.

so I removed the shoes, posed my character, reapplied the foot pose with Genesis selected and the shoes still did not fit so I tried manually adjusted the feet a bit which helped. the pose does apply correctly with genesis in the default position, but not when you apply a pose which I tried several V5 poses. I assume fitting footwear will always need some adjustment even with a foot pose included?

Generally you fit the shoes to the figure, select the figure apply the foot pose so the feet fit inside the shoes and then pose your figure. If it is not doing that then make a bug report or fill out a ticket to the tech dept via the Helpdesk. I can't think of anything else to try, unless some others have any ideas which is highly lickely. :)

Szark I will try again in that order and if it works awesome and if not I will file the bug report, unless any other suggestions offer a solution..

I always seem to have so much trouble with the footwear.

    thanks for helping everyone

Actually, in the case of Boudoir Bliss the shoes are applied flat against the foot, but angled. The foot pose provided moves the feet (and thus the fitted shoes) so that the heels are flat against the floor. It's a little different to some of the other boots and heeled shoes, but it works well enough that I don't feel a bug report is necessary.

Yeah but the same process applies...load the shoes and pose the figure with making sure the shoes have "Fit To" enabled.

Quite so. One of the reasons I'd avoided using heeled shoes with Poser is that back in ye olde times, they often didn't come with poses or morphs so it had to be done manually. Nowadays it's a much simpler and easier process, so I'm less scared of using them. I still prefer flat-footed footwear as it's more 'all-purpose' but at least I can pose my fair maidens in heels without it looking like they're awkwardly imitating Michael Jackson.

thank u both. I did everything down to fit shoes , then posed my figure sitting, then applied foot pose and the shoes went to where they should be on her feet. Not sure how it would be with every pose but did work with this one:)

It works because it simply angles the foot to accomodate the heel and makes no other adjustments. That means it's very compatible with the majority of poses you might want it for. Not all, perhaps, but most.

Either way I'm glad you got it working, and I love the final pose. Nice work.
