CR2 load errors in 4.5.1.56

Whenever I attempt to load a cr2 file created from an earlier version of Studio using V4.2 as the base character, like 4,0 or 3.2, the file while loading spits out several "Attempting to loop something or something (goes so fast I can't read it)", and I end up with a default character. No shape, etc.
Do I have a faulty install of Studio, or is this a known error?

    What version of DAZ Studio are you using now?

    What does the logfile say, Help > Troubleshooting > View Log File?

    I'm sorry - I meant to say that I am using the latest version 4.5.1.56 PRO 64 bit.
    Log file doesn't give any indication of error. It seems that the import just stops and exits.

    As I also said - while loading in and reading the file, it extremely quickly flashes that it is attempting to create a circular ......several times then stops

    Is this the full V4 base or is it the QuickStart V4 from DS3?

    Have you tried resetting your V4 download and reinstalling to make sure you have the latest versions? While Poser doesn't seem to have issue between V4.0 and V4.2, the later versions of DS4 and 4.5 did.

    The CR2 was made from the full version ov V4. The data files were copied from version to version
    I can try the reinstall.
