SY Hat and Hair Helper for Genesis 8

Is this product backwards compatible with Genesis 3 and Genesis 2 (and maybe even Genesis)?

If so, that's great I will by this one, if not, since I'm only using G3, G2, and G characters, I will probably use for one of these (which one I use the most) instead.

Seems logical for it to be, but you never know.

    I think SickleYield has a similar product for G3, either here or at Renderosity, and she may have others for previous versions as well.

    You can auto fit the hat and hair helper to Genesis 8, and then fit the hair to that. I have used hat helper for versions it was not designed for before, although the one designed for the relevant generation works best.

    Thanks everyone, but I was wondering if the product was backwards compatible so I wouldn't have to by seperate versions.

    EDIT: Wait - I don't think there are G8 clones for the previous figures yet?  So you'd have to use the scene identification conversion method for G3:

    And then you can autofit it to G2 if you have the G3 clone for it.  It's a bit of a workaround but it's doable.

    I find it here on my computer: C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\People\Genesis 8 Male\Clothing\SY Hat And Hair Helper

    I use the Content Library and there are two icons which load the PDF: People/Genesis 8 Male/Clothing/SY Hat And Hair Helper/SY Hat and Hair Helper Manual.pdf and People/Genesis 8 Female/Clothing/SY Hat And Hair Helper/SY Hat and Hair Helper Manual.pdf

    I'm always late to the party. Sorry, but I have questions. Does this product work for a character who already is all decked out, hair, hat, and all, to fix hair poking through a hat, or is this a preventative measure that has to be planned and used in advance to prevent hair poking through a hat?

    I can't tell from the product description page, except it seems to imply the latter (ambiguously), saying, "Are you ready to put (emphasis added) hats with hair on your Genesis 8 characters".

    The Helper is a separate Item, which mirrors the Head shape of your character.

    You Fit the Hair to the Helper, and the Helper itself has the morphs to shape the hair.

    So, if you have a finished character, you'd just add the Helper to the character, then Autofit the Hair tot he Helper. Then you adjust the morphs on the Helper to fit it under the hat, or hood, or whatever.

    (Hair that is parented? It will not work with this because Parenting doesn't confer the shapes of the underlying figure/helper to the hair.)
