Again, it's a kind of M4-D3 hybrid, but hopefully in the spirit of showing that there's life in the "old" figures yet. (Clothing/equipment in postwork.)
...Kurt, as always, incredible piece.
...In the clearing stands a boxer
and a fighter by his trade
and he carries the reminders
of every glove that layed him down
or cut him when he cried out
in his anger and his pain
"I am leaving I am leaving"
But the fighter still remains.
Uhhhh . . . what the "Kid" said. :bug:
First post in the new forums, but I had to join in the Gen4 love. Massive pic spam coming up, all Gen4s with the occasional standalone robot/critter, all done in dear old, "obsolete" DS3A. Plus post work.
More.
Even more.
Last one.
I mostly render A3 but I occational do render with Gen4 characters too.
I lied. This is the last one.
All of these are M4s.
@AngelusPrime: Nice stuff. Amidst all the Poser hooplah, it's easy to forget that the DS3 people got left in the dust too. :(
@Mattymanx: What's the black suit in the second image in the middle row?
Zaarin,
V4 body suit with the X-Verse addon found here - http://www.sharecg.com/pf/full_uploads.php?pf_user_name=nadino&PSID=4ba96000e7a827f1a689067cb6f6d8f0
There is one for the M4 bodysuit too.
Free? Didn't see that one coming. Thanks for the heads up. :)
Here's an M4 render from me, playing with some new things from the PA sale: Damon (head morph; the textures are actually Elite Jeremy and PDEyes MR from Rendo) and M401. M401 is seriously the most awesome outfit I have ever purchased, and it doesn't even have FBM support included. O_O I look forward to picking up the morph expansion to complete this pure awesomeness. ;)
Uzilite makes good clothes for the males. The M3 stuff converts really nice to Genesis too!
A few of my better Gen4 pictures.
The eyes are absolutely stunning! Great work!!
Thanks!
Some seriously amazing renders here. Inspires me to do more!
..."Momma Grande" (V4) enjoying a private recital in the Grande Manor Ballroom performed by her adoptive Daughter Leela. (Steph4)
Oh Kyoto I really really like that. :-)
...thank you.
Gen 4 still has a lot of life to live.
Just a few old renders I did when DigiPort & Rain had thier poses contests. So much fun we all use to have during the contest. Sure miss them, all the people who submitted amazing renders and really enjoy all the great artwork posted in this thread!
JUst a few more, will be adding more soon and thanks for starting this thread!
M4 and V4. "Partners in Crime," which I for some reason hear in a Glaswegian accent.
I agree. That's why I still have DS 3A installed and will be installing DS 4A for genesis only. I even still (once in a blue moon) render V3, but that's only if I want to use a certain character.
...I only installed 4.5 to use the updated 3Delight, and yes, it is really fast even on my old 32 bit system (when it doesn't crash because it ran of of memory).
"Street Rat," inspired by Disney's Aladdin. :) Started as a test of Elite Natasha which I picked up from the FastGrab today, but ended up as one of my favorite renders I've done in a while. In fact, I liked it so much I submitted it to the monthly RDNA challenge. ;) V4 in foreground, V4 and M4 in background. Oh, and I seriously impressed myself by thickening her eyebrows in postwork (I really like Natasha, but I wish she had more natural brows and a no makeup option... :( ). Click for big, or go here for the non-compressed version.
fantastic looking renders!
A great render Zaarin. I love the expression on her face. ;-)
Thanks, a mixture of basic expressions and those from Reby Sky--while I can't say I've used her morphs much, Reby has the best expressions and scale dial. ;)
I JUST loaded up an old scene in DS 4.5. This is a very complex scene for what I normally do... This scene when fully loaded took about a minute to load up.
Main Scene: People have made others nervous to upgrade because of this and that.. one complaint is missing objects.. yup, there was one.... only one thing was missing from the scene and it really wasn't missing but it was not visible... a spear. I hunted that down in about 3 minutes and took about a minute to reposition and parent it to the left hand. The old spear was still being shown as there but it's really not. So I took the old spears tweaked DS surface settings and saved those out as a new Matt preset, deleted the old invisible spear and then applied the new DS friendly preset to the new one. Done!
M4: Then I beefed up Michael, changed his head shape quite a bit. Then set his loin cloth up with smoothing/collision and it just lays perfectly over the beefed up body. He's got Jepe's hairy suit on and also gave it smoothing/collision and all the areas that I was having issues with vanished, lays over the top of the skin perfectly now.
Render: Well the original render that I did in DS 3 64 bit took well over 2 hours to do. I don't have patience so I ran to the grocery store and back, iirc, and it was still chugging away when I got back. Today, after all the tweaking I crossed my fingers and .... you won't believe it... 13 minutes total to render this same updated scene! SERIOUSLY! I was sitting there in shock and... AND it looks better. LOTS better. Same lights but what ever tweaks they did to the over all program and render engine it's really nice now.
Postwork: Photoshop CS6: Few layers of mist, a copy of the main piece, desaturated and a soft light blend mode applied to it and text and a little tweak to the hair color since the streaks looked odd seeing that they are not on a modern day man! lol
