hosting freebies?

Okay.........
sooooooo....

I have a good growing amount of freebies, some old some new, from fabric tiles to misc props to hair styles to textures....
I used to (long while back) host them on Megaupload but that is gone....

Then i put a couple on ShareCG but that site seems to have issues lately, the search is wonky and not there sometimes now >_<<br /> There's renderosity but does it require external hosting?

I don't mind having my freebies at more than one site. I just want to share them.

Can anyone recommend where I can share them? I don't have my own website and i'd rather share my obj where they are easily found and gotten. :)

    ShareCG can have its bad moments, but it does get a lot of attention. One thing I like is you can keep track of how many time people viewed and downloaded your stuff... which is good if you want to know if people are interested in what you make... they allow you to follow someone... or be followed... having followers is always good if you ever need minions... (I suppose its not really the same)
    If you like making promos for your freebies, SCG gives you plenty of attachments for your promos... which I suppose is good practice should you wish to go commercial one day or use those promos in a portfolio.
    But thats just my opinion, and I'm stark raving mad.

    ShareCG is pretty good considering the fact that it's basically run by a father-son team. As has been mentioned; it allows multiple promos and give basic statistics.

    Renderosity used to allow off-site posting of freebies; but changed that policy a couple of years ago. Now anyone posting a freebie there has to upload it to the Resderosity servers. The search function there is a little better than at ShareCG.

    Not sure if that was me or the site - it had taken nearly a dozen attempts to get the post made anyway. But I've moved it to where it was meant to go now.

    You can upload freebies to DeviantArt... but I still like ShareCG.com In fact, I love ShareCG.com. It's easy to get to, you can upload as much as you want without having to wait for it to get "approved" (in the case of Genesis or DAZ Studio, those that approve your stuff, or discard your stuff usually have not the first clue what they're looking at... I won't mention which site that is, but it's the one that takes three days to approve anything)...
