Iray shaders error: File does not exist.

Hello there,
I've just started using Daz 3D, it's been only for a few days and naturally, I'm just starting to at least try to figure things out.
I've installed the Default resources package to get the Iray shaders. Now I have them in the content browser, BUT when I select a surface and double click on a shader, first it asks me if I'm sure I want to save my project before I close my project (why?) and after that, it gives me the following error:
Resource Error:
" Could not open file : /Shader Presets/Iray/NVIDIA MDL Examples/Pattern Checker Glossy.duf
File does not exist. "
It is the same with any other of the shaders, meaning the ones other than NVIDIA MDL Examples.
The strange thing is if I drag and drop the shader on an OBJECT it applies the shader to the object (to the whole object obviously, not a specific surface) and looks fine in the render.
Also, when I check the address that is mentioned in the error, the file does exist in the content folder (my documents/daz 3d/studio/my library). The exact .duf file exists, when I double click on the file in Windows's explorer, it gives me this error: An error occurred while reading the file, see the log file for more details. ( But I get the same error when I double click on any other content like poses when I'm not selecting a character, so I'm guessing this error is normal? )
I installed the package manually, copied the folders inside of the "Content" folder to my contents folder. Is there any other place I should copy it to?
I'm really confused right now because the Daz 3D program is updated to the latest version and the default resources package is the latest from the website. I don't have any issue with any other content like hair or anything else.
Thank you for any help in advance.

Try installing with Install Manager.
I just did. No effect.
I just uninstalled everything related to Daz 3D and reinstalled everything again with Install Manager. Everything latest update, no errors or anything when installing anything. Error stays.
Any solution anyone?
Do they haev a content type tag at top right of the thumbnail - it should say Shader.
Yes, they do.
Isn't it strange that it wants to load the 'shader' in a new project? Why does it ask me to save before it closes my project?
Again, it works perfectly when dragged and dropped on a whole object.
Anyone please?
That probably wasn't "everything" you uninstalled — what about the content database? It looks like this is some weird kind of content database or content file location glitch, so if you really want to do a complete uninstall/reinstall, you must clear the content database before uninstalling the D|S program.
FWIW, note that in the vast majority of cases where there's a content error of some sort, like you're having, deleting the program won't work because it's a solution to the wrong problem — usually the actual solution is some variation on reinstalling some content, and/or rebuilding the content database.
I hate to say this, but I did delete all of my content too. I uninstalled the program and the install manager, there was something else called " Daz 3D PostgreSQL CMS " which gave a warning when I wanted to uninstall and strongly suggested to not delete this. I left that out. Anything else including the content were removed. I changed one thing though, in the Install Manager the recommended install directory is: /users/public/public documents/my daz 3d library/ So I installed my content here instead of the documents folder.
Although what I haven't tried is removing the contents and only installing the shaders.. I will try that.
My other thought was if installing contents inside Daz3D's installation directory preferred? Where do you suggest is the best place to put it?
I honestly don't know what else to think of to change except for the installation path. Do you have any other suggestions/solutions?
Thank you.
Update:
Tried to copy the contents in another drive on than C which asks for administrator permission for doing anything (thought it may not allow daz to read the files properly), it didn't work.
Tried to copy only the default resources content in a folder, the error stays.
Tried to copy the content folder inside Daz3D's directory, the error stays.
I'm beginning to think of reinstalling the windows completely...
If it's any help: when in Smart Content, all of the downloaded contents have thumbnails but the Default Resources don't!
What the heck is going on?!
I just uninstalled Default Resources via Smart Content (right clicked on it --> Uninstall) and then installed it using the Install tab, it downloaded and installed it and it's working now!
To anyone who is having any problem with the contents, avoid manual installation as much as possible and stick with Daz Connect or Install Manager.
Thanks everyone who helped so far.
