Perspective View Parameters

Is there any way to vary the parameters of the Perspective View "camera", like the focal length and view angle and so on?

Thanks.

Not on the perspecitve view that I know of.

For those features you need to create a camera, and change the settings on it.

Maybe that's one reason why the response of the Perspective View in iray is so much faster than a real camera. It doesn't have to calculate that stuff.

    Thanks.

  • Most of those parameters exist, and can be adjusted non-numerically via the view controls. They are also accessibly via scripting.

WOW !!! Never knew that even existed. The View controls are awesome.

    Thanks.

Is there a way to give the perspective view a different Focal lenght, so it can see more? my best results are at 35.00

Focal Zoom, rather than Dolly Zoom, in the View Conrtols adjust focal length.

    I dont see that there.

For the perspective view. And in the camera settings can I not select the Perspective view, so where is the View Control then?

Right mouse button on the magnifying glass in viewport. If you hover over viewport controls, a pop should come telling you the different ways each icon can be used.

    AMAZING, I love you :D

I hated that I need always a camera to fly through rooms, because my standard view was too close.

Try right-dragging on the magnifier (left drag is dolly zoom - moving the camera while keeping the focal length constant).
