How to use the new Project Eyeray for Genesis 8

Can't quite figure out how to get rollin on this new Project Eyeray.  And no real instructions on how it works.

The attached file is what I get on a render.

Anyone got a clue on how to make it work.

Thanks,

Kent

There's a quirk/bug whereby these eyes render invisible if you have the dome switched off in the render settings. I think it relates to the SSS chromatic settings. Try turning dome on and it should work. If you need the dome off for a transparent background, then try turning the SSS mode to mono for the eye materials.

  • Thanks for the advice Redz...that helped, but what happened to the dark center pupil....see attached.

Tried using the mono...but still got a background.

Wish there was a way to contact the creator so that they know whats going on with their products.

  • I have got the effect you show when in error I used G8F eyes on G8M -

Check the UV for the eyes is in fact the Project Eyeray Special UV and if it is still showing as Base Male manually switch it over & the eyes should render better

I was refreshing my knowledge of this product because of another similar has just been released.  However, the eyes were either greyed out or immensely read.  It would never have crossed my mind to have to go in to each area (the iris, pupil, and sclera) and change the UV from Base Male.    I am thankful for this thread.

  • I'm having a different issue, the mats just wind apply to G8M. Tried uising the UV, got an error message. Switched UV manually, but I still can't see the material being applied.
