extracting one frame out of an animation

What is the best way to extract a single frame out of an animation, in order to save the object in that state?  For example using SimTenero particle physics to arrange particles, finding a frame I like, then saving that as a single scene subset to be added as a static object in future scenes?

If it matters, I'm using DS4.8.

    I would use "Save As - Pose Preset".

    It won't work on SimTenero's particles...

    The only way to have it "frozen" is to eliminate everythin from scene keeping only the particles and export it as OBJ. The result will be a static, standalone prop that you can import, stretch and modify as you please.
