Don't think they should have been made inaccessible, but you do have my sympathies over the initial sales... Hammerhead was wish-listed by me, but I love using the Great White model and the water/seal were amazing additional elements.
Agreed. I really don't understand not having them in the store, despite the sales figures. Couldn't DAZ have bought them from you? Not having a good undrwater environment (other than your HDRI) could be a reason for less use from these products. I tend to see lots of niche products in the store and requests for niche products all the time. While I am sorry for the lack of sales, there will be users needing shark figures from time to time though.
That's a real shame, its a gorgeous package. So glad I picked it up when I did.
To clarify so that there are no misunderstandings, I do NOT blame users at all. The models took lot of time and efforts to be designed and produced, because I wanted to add as much detail as I could; as a consequence the price tag was high, and after no sales for a considerable amount of time I thought the products life cycle was over. No reason to use store space and resources to sell a few copies more maybe at 70-80% discount. If and when I'll make new products, I will revise things up.

How does that make sense? Is that an emotional response- like from disappointment? Or is there some burden on you by having some items be more popular in your catalogue than others? I'd figure you'd want to be the definitive shark choice -if anyone ever needs a high quality shark figure. Making the shark seems like a long-term product and you SHOULD expect sales in the future, not now.
A shark is something that DAZ needs. And maybe it should have been commissioned as a Daz original.
Or sell it to them directly (I have no idea if that's possible) and let them own it, etc...

I say hang in there dude, you do good work. Bring the shark back and feel better.
Guess your mind is made-up, but for what it's worth, I too own most of your catalog here, and had the sharks wish-listed. I looked at the date of your 'release' posting, and it's 05 Oct, so it's been less than 60 days... Can we assume that the sharks will be over at the store were you're offering new frog and pond?

I think they looked amazing and I had them both wish listed so I could them when I had more funds to play with.
Damn! Had both on my list too. If I would have known you were going to pull them, I would have tried to hook at least one before they got away.
I hope you reconsider reintroducing them at some point, maybe with additional underwater environments (!)
I can understand. I hesitated buying them, honestly, for the price point. But also that creating a sea based scene needs more than a shark, no matter how cool. For example, I can make a fantasy scene because I have morphs for elves and goblins, I have swords and armor, I have castles, I have forests. A good ocean scene I would need fish, submarines, pirates, seaweed. The cost of the shark model, plus a host of other items, meant that I put off buying the sharks. Too long as it turns out.
Ironically I just got a raft of submarines and pirate outfits thanks to the recent sales. But, as you say, at huge discounts. Anyway I could make a pretty decent sea scene now- if only I had a cool shark
Sad to see this gone. There is so much stuff released so quickly these days that its hard to keep up sometimes, and we can't always buy things on release due to budget constraints. But this is one I really wanted and would have purchased.
You spent a lot of time creating it and I'm sure many people still want to buy it (as I would, some day.) Are you selling it elsewhere? I think this store probably still gets more traffic than others... Sharks are way less niche than many other products sold here.
I've had a few flops in the begnning, but it more than made up in back catalog sales. Please let it continue to sell -Dz

Aw. I'm taking a break from my 7th Sea game, or the sharks would have been a higher priority. :( The budget was/is just too tight to invest that much in something I don't need now, no matter how wonderful it is (or I'd have a lot more Stonemason). And the in-laws have been real generous lately on the Christmas money, so I was going to indluge with that...
Oh well. If it's not to be, it's not to be.
With niche items people may not purchase it initally. I didn't really have enough props to make a sea scene until I bought some fish and diving gear this month. I went back for the shark then once I had enough to make an image....

Sorry to hear they did not sell well; I am the proud owner of both, and am glad I picked them up when I did.
I'm sorry to hear about the shark and hammerhead being pulled, too. I had them both on my wishlist as well. I really hope you decide to bring them back at some point.
They are now for sale at two other stores.... along with some other of his products...

Wow! I just saw this. Finally bought the item that would provide an undersea environment, hoped to get the shark--had it wishlisted--and now it's gone! Understand Alessandro's disappointment, but ... :-( I wish he'd come up with a different (better) solution.
He is selling them himself for lower cost.
I just saw this one popped over at cubebrush (it's being sold there) if anyone's still interested on getting it. Just go to the site and type in Alessandro or Great White Shark in the search bar.
