Adding additional joints to model

I am interested in creating some fantasty charaters that have extra joints (like perhaps two knees in the legs, or two elbows). Is there any easy way to accomplish that with the Genesis or V4/M4 models that you guys are aware of? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

It would not, I think, be easy but you can add bones with the Joint Editor tool and then (for Genesis) edit their weight maps with the Node weightmap paintbrush tool or (for V4/M4) edit the joint parameters with the Joint Editor.
