How do I update Daz Studio?

I have daz 4.9 and I wanted to use the new genesis 8 character, but the program is telling me I need to update to the newest version of Daz 4.9. How do I do this? I cant find an update button in the program, and when I go the the site and download daz 4.9, there is no option to update my current version in the downloaded installer. Do I need to completely remove daz from my computer to intall a new version? 

 

Hope anybody can help

    There isn't a separate updater, you just reinstall (which keeps settings and content). If you installed with Install Manager that should show an update, if not just download a frsh copy from the Product Library page in your account and install that.

    DAZ Install Manager always displays the latest Release in the "Ready to Download" Tab.

    Click on the Download button next to the latest DAZ Studio release.

    As soon as the setup is downloaded, you'll see a new entry in the "Ready to Install" tab.

    Setup will run automatically without asking you anything.

    Be sure that Studio is not running when you install the new version.
