Georgia hair rendering problem

This is an Iray render using Georgia Hair with the expansion pack:
What is that black stuff on the forehead and how do I make it go away?! I noticed it's worse when the camera is closer to the figure. Lights are all emissive surfaces. I've used this same model many times with different hair and didn't have this issue.

if you click on your attachment thumbnail and then right click the full sized image, to select image location, you will be able to insert a larger in line image. please keep it to 800 pixels on the width.
That doesn't really answer my question.
You are using the Iray materials? Do you get the same if you zero the shape out?
The materials are under materials: Iray. But interestingly enough, when you look at these materials under the surfaces tab, there is nothing for emmissions. So I applied the Iray Uber shader to the hair ...but got the same result. I also tried zeroing the shape, with the same result. When I render without the hair, those black splotches are gone.
I’ve seen this with other hairs. It seems to be caused by the skullcap portion of the hair interacting badly with the scalp on the figure. Usually I’ve been able to correct it using the adjustment morphs that typically come with hairs - dial the forehead back in 3-5% or so.
Here was my post on the same topic: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/199696/black-lines-on-hair-skull-cap-solved
Excellent! thank you!
Did that other thread solve your issue?
Otherwise I was going to ask if you applied the "Georgia Hair !Apply First" preset before applying other presets, because it also looks like the correct transparency map may not have been applied to the skull cap. That may not be the issue you are experiencing, but applying a hair color preset before that first one can result in what you are showing.
Yes, I did the apply first step.
