Ability to add a dForce simulation gone.. [Sort of Solved]

I just recently opened up the release version of Daz Studio 4.10 and found that the simulation settings tab was gone, so I added it back and have found that I could no longer add a dForce simulation to a clothing item by right clicking on the tab as the option is no longer there all I get now is undock pane, undock pane group and close pane..

Now I went wth and so opened up the beta build and found that when I right clicked on the simulation settings tab, the ability to add a dForce simulation was there, yet it is no longer in the release of studio 4.10 not sure what is happening but it is an annoyance..

Anyhelp please would be greatly appreciated, thank you..

Update: It seems there was a glitch with City Limits workspace and changing it to City Limits Lite and back again has fixed the issue for now.. But it is quite weird all the same for options and settings to vanish like they did..

  • Were the commands ever showing in the release buold? it's UI is stored separately from the beta's so what one does has nothing to do with the other - it may be you just needed to hit Window>Workspace>Update and Merge menus.

Yes when I first installed and ran the release build they were there when I added the Simulation Settings to the right side series of pane tabs..

The image below makes it easier to explain when the problem occurred the only options available were the Undock Pane, Undock Pane Group and Close Pane options..  Now after resetting the Workspace by choosing another layout and then switching back fixed the issue and as you can see in the image the other five options now show up..

All I know is not sure why it happened and well I should of posted an image of what had happened but I now know how to fix it..

  • Maybe the .dsx file became corrupt - I did once have a problem, though that was after trasnferring the files from my previous Windows install to a new install.

Thank you for the help and however it happened it has been weird to say the least, although I have had other issues with some other things as well all very strange occurrences..

Glad I found your post, this was driving me crazy. I think this glitch comes from having several versions running, one interface pre-empting the other at some point.

Beta and release won't do that, but two versions from the same channel will

I used a quick fix of refreshing the layout/style worked magnificently, except my script menu were completely screwed up afterwards!
