Daz, thank you for another uncomplicated coupon.

Those using the $5 off coupon issued this week were promised a better one if it was used by Friday. Today I received a $10 off for a $40 or more purchase. NO OTHER REQUIREMENTS. Used it for the David 5 Starter Set(new release), and a couple of Male M3dia items, on sale. No problems. Thank you again, Daz. I hope uncomplicated coupons becomes a new feature.

Yup! Just grabbed David 5 as well! Too bad they didn't issue another tier/chain with this one that if you used the $10 off this weekend then you can get another one next week for a higher discount! I would use it for sure. I think Renderosity did something like this awhile back and grabbed several good items.

Yeah, but then one thing leads to another, and before you know it you're opening your email and saying "Wow! $15,000 off $50,000 - I wonder what I can spend that on?"

    LOL

I don't think the whole DAZ store costs that much yet...but I have often wondered how much it would cost to buy my whole wishlist...Hey that's a good idea...a wishlist sale!

....while grateful for the offer, 30$+ (after coupon) is more than my budget can afford these days.

These are targetted emails, and only people who met certain criteria are getting them.

It's DAZ's way of saying "You spent an absurdly large amount of money at our store recently, and we think we might be able to persuade you to spend a bit more."

Ah.. I see. Since my computer is so old (leaving me stuck with DazStudio 2.3) and I haven't worked in 16 months, there haven't been a whole lot of purchases as of late.

But my settlement should be on the way in the next couple of weeks, and a new computer is my first purchase... Then I can finally start paying attention to new products again...

LOL. That is one way to look at it.

I think another way to look at it is this....If you like and appreciate using DAZ and the content that the artists/vendors contribute, then you need to keep supporting it. If no one bought stuff on the store than they would eventually not be able to keep supporting the application and I would really hate to see that happen.

Apparently, purchasing the $1.99 PC products the first week of April was enough to qualify as spending an absurdly large amount of money.

This coupon is for all users that purchased during March Madness [info from staff] ... many people did NOT get a coupon because they do NOT get emails from Daz3d ... and I gather nobody knows why and/or can fix that :-(

So we have to guess what coupons are available when, unless some dear soul would like to publish these details.

The $5 off coupon has to be spent on orders of $25 or greater.

RAIN-ON will not work if you do not qualify. Let's pretty please stop with the airport security, it's a store.

Thanks for the info - too bad I'm one of those folks who don't get newsletters (even though I subscribe and have no spam filters) - I could have qualified for BOTH coupons as I have purchased several times this month and spent over $1200.00 during March madness. I put in another ticket so I will see if I get anything other than the standard boiler plate "check your spam filters" "check your subscription" yadda yadda.

    Greetings,
It may be less about the vast sums of money that I've donated to the DAZ employees kids college funds by way of content purchases in the last two months, and more that the post-March Madness crash in purchases is probably uncomfortable from a cash-flow standpoint, and so they do cool coupons like that and thank-you's and such to keep April from being a very, very dry month income-wise.

It's still a very nice thing, and much appreciated in the Cypherfox household. :)

...and if you have email with various online services, some of them 'provide' you with spam filters even if you don't actually want them. Black-hole lists can happen at multiple email levels above your own mailbox, for instance, and you don't even get a chance to override those. Some of that can't be fixed, unfortunately, but you can investigate and find out what your ISP's policy is.

    Thanks, Cypherfox :)
That's good info for a beginner, but I've been an IT developer for more than 20 years, I own several domains and I maintain my own email servers. If I say there are no spam filters on my primary email account, I'm pretty sure it is a fact.

I just wish I got the coupon emails like everyone else. Ever since the new store went into place I have not received emails or "special" PC promotions in email. I get everything else such as order confirmation, forum announcements and Zendesk tickets, I just get NOTHING from the sales department mail list server, so there must be a database glitch somewhere.

Silly idea perhaps, but maybe if they can't just give us coupons into our accounts [like once upon a time], maybe they could PM all the concerned members their new coupons? I do get PM notifications [eventually] and certainly know how to check my PMs when I get into the forums "whether or not that PM flag is green".

I haven't been able to use my coupon. I can't purchase anything 'cause there's an unknown glitch in the final step. Before getting my email I had enough in the cart to qualify but didn't apply the coupon because I didn't know about it. Couldn't purchase anyway. Managed a few items individually but no more. Even tried again a little while ago.

    I've got those emails before!

I went back and reread the "Rain" emails. The first two do state the coupons are for participanting in March Madness. But the third one didn't say anything about March Madness.

As our thanks to you for your purchases over the last month, you have become one of our VIP customers in April. As a VIP, you will see April showers raining money and savings.

I read that to mean what I'd spent in April. Which at that time had been the $1.99 PC products :P

Unfortunately, the store ate the $10 coupon this weekend :(

And I don't understand this is legal. Imagine that your post office dumped letters or packets sent to you from certain locations right into the trash. This definitely IS illegal. Why is it legal just because it's electronic mail, instead of paper?

Paper spam is also allowed, we get tons of paper ads from supermarkets and who knows where. Same for TV - spam spam spam spam every 10 minutes on many channels. And we even pay for it, as the costs for these ads are paid by those who buy the products.

    LOL

I read this, and despite my feeling bad for you...somehow it was funny for the simple fact that I have also experienced my PC membership being randomly cancelled despite them taking a monthly payment.
