In search of dynamic straps/ribbons/chains

Currently using DS3, and looking for some sort of compatible dynamic strap, ribbon, or chain. Preferably something with an anchor at either end. I'm doing some fantasy work that involves our heroes being chained in a dungeon, and I haven't found a decent answer to the draped chains problem.

Easiest solution I've found for this kind of thing is unfortunately not very easy at all. Make a figure of said rope or chain like a tail, with a base and as many child body parts as you have links or an appropriate length of rope, perhaps twice the thickness. It would be an unwieldy beast to control, with so many parts, but it would get the job done. Eventually.
It may be possible to build dynamic chains for Studio, but you'd have to contact the folks at OptiTex, since we still haven't seen a production system released to the public. Let's see if I can find the right site...

There ya go. Martin, who is DAZ customers' OptiTex liaison, makes himself readily available. There's a blog, support e-mail page and he's active on Facebook. Any of those routes should get you through and if the project is feasible, he'll let you know if one is out there or likely make one if it isn't. Many of the items requested by the fans have wound up in the freebie section there.
Good luck! I'm sure many others will be interested in such common and useful items. Electric cables are increasingly unavoidable in properly detailed modern scenes and dynamic physics would do their randomly-fallen nature justice.
