DaztoMaya Plug-in technical issue

Has anyone else gotten the DaztoMaya plugin yet?
I just bought it today, and I can't figure out how to export blend shapes and expressions using the plug-in into Maya. Anyone else learned how the script works? Their isn't alot of documentation on all of the features it has to offer.
I know the script can export expressions because the promo video shows the Shape Editor in Maya changing the Toon Generation 2 model's facial rigging.

Hi,
Importing window in maya is neverending and got this warning into MEL script window:
// Warning: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2016/scripts/others/jointLabelInfoForString.mel line 147: Starting position (1) is invalid. It must be in the range from 1 to the length of the string. Clamping index to range. //

Is DaztoMaya creating a temp folder on your C Drive called TEMP3D? It should be here C:\TEMP3D
It also looks like from the mel script message that you ran into a runtime error. The DaztoMaya script can't find the character to convert to HumanIK and its having errors naming the different joints of your rig. Make sure that the fbx file the script creates when exporting from Daz in in the TEMP3D folder first, and if the problem continues you might have to reinstall the script in Daz.
I've tested it in Maya 2017 and it works so far. I just can't get the blend shapes to export, but the character and all props are converted to HumanIK perfectly. Even the textures are preserved, and are indeed converted to Arnold materials. Unfortunately all textures are found in the TEMP3D folder and you will have to move them to your Maya project folder and rename all textures in your "sourceimage" folder if you want to keep them in one place and organized. The script creates only on fbx in the TEMP3D folder at a time, but does preserve all textures from previous exports.
So far I've had to export the character using the DaztoMaya and afterwards exporting each morph as a separate fbx, and then creating a blend shape from the imported fbx model onto the HumanIK rig. It work but will take forever to create a fully realized rig. Although, DaztoMaya script made the whole process a lot less painful and much easier to accomplish what I always wanted in Maya with a Daz rig.
I just wish the morphs would export with the rig into Maya and this would be a perfect plugin.
Hi.
It's not working for me :( Daz 4.10 and Maya 2017 on my Mac I just keep getting error "Oops! nothing to import" from Maya ( attached file ).
I'm not shore
Any idia?
Thank you.
I'm not sure were the temp files would be on a Mac OS. You would have to check the TEMP3D folder that the script creates and see if the fbx file and textures are there. Try manual import instead of auto to see if the script is working by going to the selected TEMP3D folder and loading the fbx.
Thank you.
I was looking for the TEMP3D and didn't find no whare... Manuel import get me to the same window.
I saw that during end of the script runinig its write somthing to c::/DazToMaya.fbx for a second but ther isn't realy such a path..
I wroth an email to "3dtoall " they didn't replay yet.
I asked on their youtube promo video about my problem and they were nice to reply to a private message on their youtube channel.
If the program is writing "C::/DaztoMaya" with two colon marks then something went wrong. Try uninstalling the script and reinstall to see if that helps.
Hello, I'm having problem installing the plug-in through the install manager, the plugin just does not appear in the list of available plug-ins? Has anyone encountered a similar problem?
It's a script, not a plug-in, in DS so it isn't meant to appear there - you should find a command to launch it in the Scripts menu. See http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/47879/start
I understand, but still this script doesn't appear in the menu even after restarting the daz studio. Maybe I incorrectly specified the path for the installation?
Is this the General Release or the Public Build (Beta)?
I have the specs for the install with Daz4.10 and Maya 2016 ext.2 but it's not working on MacOS 10.10.5.
I'm getting the same C:: TEMP3D with two colons error after the yellow progression bars.
Looks like a bug in the coding for the file path. I hope they fix it soon. I'm really excited about this because it seem like a good way to implement Daz3D in my workflow.
I also reinstalled and no happs. Bug!!!
I have try this too It's a Bug for sure.. is it happens only under Mac os?
Try going to the developers YouTube channel and see if they are able to fix the issue https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCq4vi75H23yRWtmRp3RK6kw
I commented on their YouTube promo video for the script, and they got back to me the next day. I tried their website but I think their message page is broken and won't confirm a message.
OK, Thank you!
Been using it with Win 10 for the last few days with no problems, morphs/blendshapes have been exporting automatically for me. It looks like it follows the rules set out in the "Edit Morph Export Rules" tab of the standard Daz FBX exporter so might be worth looking at that to see if they are set to be exported.
The developers told me that the script does use the settings in Daz’s fbx export menu, and the issues I was having with morphs not transferring was caused by that.
So far I’ve only been able to get the facial morphs to transfer by adding “head” to the export rules. I’m not able to get body morphs to export even if I try adding other parts to the export list list.
Maybe someone knows a trick that I’m missing?
I recently purchased the plug-in and it seemed like it wasn't working the first few times around. I was able to get it running so I will share the installation process for windows if anyone wants to take a look. I will continue working with it to see if there's any other issues I can help with. The character was uploaded into Daz from Maya with all it's morphs but I'm still working with the plug-in to see if there any other issues that may be posted in this forum.

I have been using the Daz to Maya plugin for several months with Maya 2017 and it was working as expected. Today I tried to import a mesh from Daz3d into Maya and only the control rig was imported when I ran the DazToMaya script in Maya. Then mesh was not imported. I uninstalled the script using Install Manager then reinstalled it. Still when ran the script in Maya only the Control Rig was imported. See file attached.
