How in the heck does auto fit work with Genesis 8?

I have Guilespe in the scene. I add the Traveler outfit for Genesis 3. It looks like it fits, but then the dialogbox comes up and it says that it is unsupported. If I click accept without selecting things, then the transform into the T pose. Guilespe loads with his arms down at 45 degrees. If change the first box to Genesis 3, then there is no real option in the second dropdown. There use to be things like shirt or pants. Now there's only things like long coat. For the pants and the shirt, I chose full body because there was nothing else that really applied. With that option, the cloth fit but they were almost srink wrapped.

AutoFit, or any automated tool, is going to have limits - you could try making no seelction in the second menu, though it probably won't be very different (if at all) to the first; the clothingt ype options have nothing to to do with the mesh cnversion, which is handled by picking the original figure, but are concerned with the creation of bones and projection of weights.
Autofit is shrinkwrapping basically. You could try using the new dforce to get it more natural looking, but it's kinda finicky at this point, a lot of stuff blows up or falls to pieces without going in and weightmapping it lol.
I should add that if you are using this on a character, not the base shape, then you will get an auto-generated morph (or morphs). Big breasts and cut muscles always present issues with those, you could try adding a Smoothing Modifier (Edit>Figure>Geometry>Add Smoothing Modified)
Thanks. I'll try the smoothing modifier.
I was confused because most of the options in the dropdown were the ones SickleYield made and most of the choices there used to be there weren't anymore. Plus the clothes seem to fit when they loaded, but then I had to choose something from the dialogbox otherwise the clothes seemed to unfit and go back to the T-pose.
I did find some other posts on this very topic and I started reading through those.
