Is the forum having problems with updating profile pictures and Avatars.
I keep getting "error in attempting to process upload."

is their a trick to uploading avatars. I assume i am with in the upload guidelines

these were the pictures i was trying to update

thumb avatar -100 x100 @ 13 kb

Profile picture 250 x 250 @ 60 kb

Ivy-03.jpg
250 x 250 - 60K
Ivy_-Thumb-6.jpg
100 x 100 - 14K

    Avatar, signature banner and PM attachment image upload has been broken since January. I don't have an ETA for a fix, I'm afraid.

    Some folks are reporting a minor glitch with uploading avatars, and a workaround has been developed:

    If your last avatar was a JPG, upload a PNG.
    If your last avatar was a PNG, upload a JPG.

    (Basically, you have to alternate between formats.)

    Before resorting to a different format, try a forced refresh -ctrl-F5 in Firefox and IE on Windows - as I suspect the issue is that the new file isn't being marked as new, and so your browser is going with the cached copy of the old file.

    Huzzah! Huzzah for the faces! The peasants rejoice! It's nice to be able to upload an avatar finally. :)
