Real Eyebrows for Genesis 3 Females - Can't Make Custom Brows

I bought Real Eyebrows for G3F, and while the preset shapes work, the "Real Eyebrow Shaping Tool" does not. The error I get is "Failed to create new script!" Searched Google for forum posts, and saw that one other person has had this error before, but no resolution was ever discussed or posted. I did submit a ticket, but am posting here in case someone has the solution.

Since I did not know if it was my own B/W images that were causing the problem, I also used the included b/w images for the preset shapes, but I still got the same error. I ran DAZ as an administrator; same problem. Program is installed via DIM to my regular location (read that that used to be a problem, or may still be if you don't save somewhere that has the "People\Genesis 3 Female\Hair" structure); I did not move the files.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help.

  • How did you install, Connect or DIM?

    ^ Via DIM.

Edited to add: then tried via manual install. Same problem.

  • Where is it installed? Exactly which item are you running - folder as well as filename. As I recall this tool itself runs other scripts, which should not be run directly.

    Folder is:

    D:\My DAZ 3d Library\People\Genesis 3 Female\Hair\Real Eyebrows

    File is:

    D:\My DAZ 3d Library\People\Genesis 3 Female\Hair\Real Eyebrows\Eyebrow Shaping Tool\Real Eyebrow Shaping Tool.dse

Everything else is installed in D:\My DAZ 3d Library; that's where DIM installs everything.

Thank you for taking the time on this.

Just installed DAZ on a second computer of mine, this time keeping all default path locations. Installed only G3F Starter Essentials and the Real Eyebrows product (via DIM). Same problem.

  • Something odd seems to be going on with the script getting the path to the Data folder - please report this as a possible bug.

  • Ok, will do. Thanks, Richard!

  • Just bought it today, I have the same problem.

Same problem here. Fresh install with all default folders. Did anyone find out how to make it work?
