You need to apply the material preset for that item. What outfit are you using

I am new to Daz and was using the JS Pants the outfits that came with the download. It is telling me it can't find file C:/Users/Documents/Daz3D/Studio/My Library/RunTime/Textures/MAB/M4FarJourner/FJCelticPants.jpg
Not sure what all this means as My library is there

The [pants load textures for me, so I suspect you are in a non-textured view mode. Click on the little sphere icon almost in the top-right corner of the viewport (by default) and select Texture Shaded from the menu (or press ctrl-9. cmd-9 on the Mac).

There is something wrong with your install. The JPG the program is looking for is just a black square which is loaded into the Surfaces tab to give the black colour. In the meantime, you could go to the Surfaces pane.select the Diffuse colour, and set it to Black, that will do for now.

In the long term, there is an error in your install of Genesis Starter Esentials, and you may need to reinstall it. Make sure that you are installing it to the My Library folder as the last part of the path, or if using the DIM, make sure that My Library is the destination folder.

Is that the pnly Journeyer Scout item that is giveing a problem?

Everything gives missing files errors, or everything is white? If the latter, do things render correctly? If the former, what folders do you have selected as content directories? You can get the list by going to Edit>Preferences>Content Library and clicking the Content Directory Manager button.

It says everything is in C:/Users/Documents/Daz 3D/Studio/My Library
    C:/ProgramData/Daz 3D/My Daz Library

Some How something got messed up during down loading.
