Hi,

I purchased a clothing set (Renaissance Male Clothing) in the DAZ online shop. When I want to use an item of it (e.g. the hat or the pants) I a strange effect appears (see picture) and I get the following error message:

Some assets needed to load the file were missing. The content may not work as expected. The following files could be found:
/data/Cute3D/Renaissance Male Clothing/C3DShirt/C3DShirt.dsf

However this file exists.

Can anybody tell me what the problem is?

Thanks.

Klaus

If that file exists, then DS cannot see it. This means that you will need to make sure that your folder paths are set up correctly in the Content Directory Manager (Edit > Preferences or F2)

Find out the correct path to that particualr 'data' folder, and make sure that the library that holds it is listed as both a DAZ Studio AND Poser formats folder.

My pleasure klaus, and welcome to the forums.

  • Hello, I am having this exact issue however I have basically every directory possible listed and have traversed through each directory. I'm not exactly sure what missing information should go where specifically. This problem is common across for the board for almost all my conent and I have redone a default install/directory build for this program. It is opening each folder in all the content I've unpacked from zip however it just looks like the content isnt there and Its several legit paid for packages, the content is definitely there.

I understand the directory issue makes it hard to lend request as we each set our own up however mine is just the default directory options and picks. Any suggestions? Its basically not locating

    "  data/_/_/_/abc.DSF  "

    "  runtime/textures "

^ are the files its not locating in any of the three identical directories i have with all of the content unpacked.

  • How are you installing? Where exactly is one of the missing .dsf files, and what are you content directories in DS?

    I am unpacking all into

    Users/myname/documents/daz 3d/studio/my library

Each directory that I've found it pull from, I've unpacked all so as to make sure what ever file needs to be in which ever specific directory, is available

  • Are the Data and Runtime (and other) folders from the zip going in the My Library folder, or they getting their own sub-folder? The latter will not work - the folders need to merge in the base content directory.

  • Theyre definitely in the My Library folder. I can locate every file directory I need to access but most appear empty and those that do have content spawn grey blocks after saying the concent cannot be found.
