I was wondering that myself. Maybe there will be a set of accessories for it?

Go to http://nessrepros.co.uk/ and get the dynamic kilt on p.3: comes with a rigged sporran.

Hi, this is going to sound really silly, but he doesn't permit people linking to his site and said link produces a no-no message.

So ... one can Google the info and hope for the best. I've removed the link to my Google results as apparently he's now blocked Google from linking to his page ... right.

Huh. I hadn't noticed that before: I know he had a lot of trouble some years ago with hotlinking of his files, but at the time the solution he installed involved letting one in only from the DAZ fora--the tab/window had to have the fora as the most recent history location. Maybe the site changeover changed it up. I don't know. Clicking in from Google, though, used to give a cul-de-sac page with his furniture thumbnails, overwritten with "Go make your own models, peasants!"

    Somehow that doesn't surprize me.

In general it's rather sad when people don't really comprehend how it is the 'Net as in "inter"Net is supposed to "link every which way" as far as pages go in order to be nicely indexed by the search engines as well as 'found' by people looking for one's pages. Hotlinking to downloads or people's images is another matter although some sites do permit it for their pictures usually if also providing it's clickable to a link back to their site. In other words if one wants to use their pictures on their own websites, the image providers want your viewers to also come and visit them. Fair play and all that.

However if Andrew wants his site more private than not, that's his call. He's not selling anything so bringing in the customers wouldn't be high on the agenda. I am glad though that he has shared of his models ... and if anybody is interested in them I'd recommend not waiting too long to download them. In searching for the site I also came across some other information so we don't know how much longer it will exist.

WOW, what an awesome collection... lots of cool items that will work so well in steampunk scenes too.

Incidentally, the sporran wouldn't actually be part of this type of highland dress, perhaps a "normal" drawstring pouch would hang from his belt as well as his Dirk, which any Highlander would carry with him at all times when travelling.

The modern sporran was part of the gentrification of Highland dress in the 18th Century that would be worn in compliment to the tweed jacket. It was further standardised when adopted as part of a kilted military uniform to help encourage recruits to the newly formed Highland Regiments of the British Army.

    Greetings,

ROFL! That's awesome! The ultimate 'get off my lawn!' kind of page...

Whatever happened to them, anyhow? There's some great stuff in their store, but nothing recent. Their web page reads like something from the late 90's, but their models are gorgeous.

Just how are you guys able to ENTER his site at all? I cannot get in even if I click on this link in Google or any other way I can think of. After a lot of trying I was able to open a cached version of the website´s main page, but I cannot go anywhere from there, I cannot see any content, every content-download link that´s on the main page leads to "Permission has not been granted to link to this site!"

I already tried Firefox, it did not work. But now I tried Chrome and it did work. Very strange.

I wonder why would anyone create a website with downloads if he does not want people to visit and download. If I want that people see and download my stuff, then I put it online, if I don´t want this, then I keep everything on my computer, offline.

Ness has had problems with his website, and did admit to not being tech savvy enough to work out what has happened and how to sort it out.

Type the address in directly at the top of the page, or copy-paste it to the address bar! As he says on his front page, "Linking to any part of this website or its contents without permission is NOT permitted."

Actually, this was among the first things I tried, and it did not work for me either. At least not in Internet Explorer and in Firefox. But now that I installed Google Chrome, it works in Chrome. No idea why it does in this particular browser and not in the others.

It's the correct information but he has it set up so that unless you're coming from ? where, nobody can see his site.

Now the other night having Googled the information, from the Google page I could access the site but I see somebody else has posted that they can't.

So maybe everybody has to do their own Google search?!

edit ... sigh, nothing is working, maybe the site is down hopefully for repairs.

edit2; I see above that Chrome works for some. And I just updated FF, maybe something happened there too. It's made a changes I don't like.

    Worked in IE9 just now.

Edit again: oh this is a hoot! Okay ... got the front page in IE9, clicked on a download link ... HE CAN'T LINK TO HIS OWN PAGES EITHER.

Oh dear, I think that poor website needs some help Chohole. I can't work his website obviously but if you can contact him and get his permission for us, we could look into hosting the downloads elsewhere.

Don't know whether it will work for anyone else.

Same here ... appears to have been fixed at least enough to load the main page. I didn't check the links.

edit ... hmm ... no it's not working right, seems to depend upon which link one launches from? Anyway, moving on ... and the link that worked about an hour ago, no longer is ... back to the no-no info. Sad. Maybe it has something to do with bandwidth usage on the server?
Hopefully one day somehow the site gets updated and/or fixed to work on the present web. Some really nice work there.

Found a mention in the archived forums, tried it, still works ... in FF anyway, clear the cache and cookies [and then sign in to every website again, geezh]
