Problem in 4.5 changing Infinite Lights parameters
Daz allows me to select a number of lights (e g 6 infinite lights in a light ball) and change one parameter simultaneously.
Problem is, it changes ALL parameters to match the top light in the list!
For example, with a light ball, I wanted to change the intensity of all 6 lights, but nothing else.
I selected the 6 lights by clicking on the top light and shift clicking on the bottom light on the list in the Scene tab.
When I tried it, Daz changed the intensity, but also all the x y z parameters for position and rotation, so I ended up with 6 infinite lights all melded together into a HUGE light pointing in the same direction.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug, or is this, in fact, normal and you need to change each light manually?
Any advice appreciated ...

Remember that position has no functional significance for infinite lights, only the rotation matters. That said, what you are seeing shouldn't happen and doesn't here - what version of DS are you using, and where are you making your changes - Parameters or the Light pane?
HI, Richard, thanks for swift reply.
I'm using 4.5.1.56 pro 64 bit
I was making the changes in the Parameters panel Light section, which has only Illumination, Color and Intensity parameters ...
However, now I have gone to the Parameters All section, and scrolled down to Intensity at the bottom, (which I didn't know about) made a change and bingo, all changed with no problem!
Thank you so much :-)
(I shall maybe try it again in the Light panel when I have time .....I still think that is just weird ???)
I can't force it to happen, so it may have been a glitch. If it does recur, especially if it recurs in the latest beta, please make a bug report.
Well, sadly, it is back.
I have an array of 12 distant lights (all pointing in different directions) and the multiple parameter change just will not work.
e g if you select lights 1 to 6, the change occurs in light 6 only.
If you select lights 1 to 12, the change occurs in light 12, only.
And so on.
Whether I make the change in the Light tab, or in the Parameters tab, only one light will change.
At least it no longer melds all lights together!
(To be more specific, I did manage to make one multiple change (changed all twelve lights to Raytracing at the same time) ... but thereafter it won't work.
Guess I'll have to live with it, though it makes the light ball very tedious to work with, defeats the object, really.
How do I do a bug report?
bugs.daz3d.com - it's a separate system from the store and forum so if you haven't previously done so you will need to create an account.
It sound like you are working in the Lights tab not the Parameters tab. The Lights tab doesn't work with multiple selections but Parameters does.
what is an infinite light?
A distant light - one that comes from infinity. You will see both terms used, depending on application.
