Is there any way to load up a .wav file instead of speaking into a microphone in Mimic Live?

It says on the Product Page :

•Record the audio files and save out as a .wav file.

I don't have this plugin, but from memory, I don't believe that it can load files to use inside Mimic Live. The whole idea of it is to provide live speech to animations, and not recorded files as in Mimic Pro for example.

Someone else may be able to help you more, but I don't think Mimic Live has that functionality.

I do not have Mimic live so cannot test but in your audio settings (right click on taskbar speaker icon usually) allow stereo mix and in programs like audacity set the record to stereo mix too so computer defaults to it.
Is usually disabled by rumour due to $ony corporation kicking up a fuss to Micro$oft.
(apparantly if you have a Sony computer you need to use a non-Sony driver from Realtek or who ever your sound card manufacturer is if that is your situation, it may void warranties)
You will then record the sound that comes out your speakers instead of your mic.
This of course means any web feed or music can be recorded too breaching copyright so excert extreme caution so as to not inadvertantly record such stuff %-P
I don't but it DOES enable my synthesizer plugged into the input jack to play on my computer along with any computer based music programs/players live that I would otherwise have to export to wav and overdub!!! (reason I did it, not for sinister purposes) I suspect Mimic live would also behave the same way on my set up if I had it recording any track I played or was on Youtube streaming etc!
As I said, do not have to test.

if you do not see stereo mix, enable hidden devices ( if you driver supports it, see above for $ony computers.)

    Hello Jaeba,
First, transfer your .wav files or .mp3 files on a walkman.
Secondly, connect walkman headphone output to computer microphone input with a double jack cable.
    Then, adjust walkman sound.
It works all right with me.
    Enjoy.
