Thanks for having my back, AllenArt. I was so excited I completedly "spaced out" putting the link up. (nyuk nyuk nyuk!)
And before anyone asks, the background scene and lighting is from the most excellent Iray HDRI Space.
Cool beans!!! Thank you.
Great image! Reminds me of an incredible VR experience I demoed on the Vive that has you hurtling through space on a tether!
The title of this thread reflects the now ancient, but much beloved, M3 Space Suit and its add on Explorer Unit that was long, long overdue for an update or a competent rival. I kept seeing renders with the old suit and knew how hard it was to work with on newer figures so always wondered if it would EVER get an update. Now it is a moot point. Midnight Stories nailed it! I'm blown away by the detail and quality. Thanks again.
Thanks everyone it makes it all worth while seeing a thread like this, I'm in holiday mood at the moment. But still exploring new ideas and software. To try and bring some different stuff next year, props and texture for the asteroid belt is complete, but the background and HDR lighting is a bit tricky I have painting nebula's by hand so so doing a crash course in digital painting. Thanks again and all the best for the new year !
And excellent image !
Is there anyway to disable the hide/delete geo that happens to the Genesis 3 geometry when adding the AS Space Suit garment?
I'm trying to use the Daz to Blender Bridge, but it won't import into Blender correctly because the vert order changes when torso, arms and legs of the Genesis 3 geo are deleted after adding the Space Suit clothing.
What happens if you have teh Geometry Editor tool active? It's possible reduce the number of hidden polygons, down to 1, but completely clearing the GeoGrafting (assuming that is the issue) is not possible, as far as I know, without edting the .duf file directly.
