I created a text symbol in Photoshop and exported it as a .obj file.
I imported the symbol object into Bryce I duplicated the symbol and intended to use the copy of itself to cut out the center.
I have set the large one to postitive and the other smaller one to negative and grouped them and nothing happens.
Any help on this would be much appreciated. :)

The thickness of the smaller one will need to be greater than the thickness of the larger one, so it is thick enough to show outside the larger one. If it is slimmer than the larger one it will be hiding in the middle
Also the obj needs to be set as "Solid when boolean rendering" you do this by clicking one the "E" in the drop down when in edit mofe.
WOW you did it it was the solid checkmark!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! :)
you're welcome, glad I could help.
