Hello All,

I currently acquired Daz Studio 4.5 and bought AniMate 2 and I have question regarding sound. Is it possible to see the sound wave or audio waves to help with lip synching or audio motion? I know that other software allows you to see this and it ins an invaluable tool when having to work exactly with audio especially when it is on the timeline. If this is possibly please let me know. Thanks.

(PS not sure if this is technically a tech question or an animation question so I will be posting in both)

I have asked the same question and unfortunately the answer seems to be negative. Would be really good if animate did this I agree. gav

You can in Carrara if you ever consider buying it.
It has a full keyframe and graph editor too
does terrains with trees that sway and rustle both of which you can edit to create what you want
    particles and bullet physics
    vertex, spline and metaball modeling
    dynamic hair
loads most Poser and DAZ figures and content as well as third party FBX and indirect X rigged stuff
(a few program only exceptions that can be fixed in DAZ studio or if later Poser specific using Fenrics free Poser weight painting converter)
renders faster and better than 3Delight IMO
    and
it is cheaper tham graphmate and keymate if you are a PC member.

    That is my answer

you can't see audio wave - but you can load a sound file using lip sync
and then do your animation while
    listening to it .

Thank you, Yes I'm considering Carrara right now because I want to do lip sync. I'm on a Mac OS 10.9.5 and most of the lip sync out there is setup for PC that's why I wanted to view the audio waves so I can do lip sync manually. Though I'd rather find a workaround and if that's Carrara I'll buy it. Just want to make sure that's the right way to go on the Mac and with Genesis 2 figures. I'm working on an independent film which means no or very little budget. Thanks for any available input.

Well mimic pro for carrara plugin works on the Mac version too.
G2M & F work ok in carrara but are best set up in studio first, you cannot use the HD morphs though.
Also you need to unistall postgre database and use valentina for smart content.
