A curious question...

Hello all! Like many of you *I hope*, I am fairly new to Daz3d. 3D modeling has been an off and on interest of mine for a few years now. Anyways, long story short, I recently spent my gaming budget on the Genesis/Victoria 4 pro suite and I'm having an absolute blast playing around with it.

But, I have come across a small problem that is bugging me. And I've tried to search google trying all possible keywords but I cannot seem to find anything that remotely comes close. One of my intentions was to recreate a few of my characters across the few games (As in adding in my own artistic interpretation) using Daz. Call me a pervert but I wanted to do nude/semi nude renders. I understand how to add skins and manipulate the sliders (Even know how to make the v4/m4 skins work). However, my issue seems to be with the Geocrafted Gens for v5.

It adds a nice effect overall. But I've noticed that when using the 'child' slider (Now, I know what you're thinking. Dude, you're not going there. But, I cannot figure out how to scale the model to be shorter without doing the whole XYZ scaling). The gens when using that slider seems to sink into the body. On the extreme, it creates an unsightly hole in the crotch. Would anybody know how to 'fix' this or perhaps another technique to achieve the same results? (I.e, making a shorter character but still retaining all of her womanly features?)

The geografted gens don't work with the child shape by design...there are other ways to create a shorter character. The xyz scaling is one method. Here are a few other options:

    1. Adamr001's excellent free proportion morphs: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/5484/ These are very helpful, and there are short and petite morphs
    2. Using a shorter character shape, like Stephanie 5, the Stephanie 4 shape, or Young Teen Julie (not sure if the gens work on Julie, though).
    3. Getting a product like this will provide extreme body-size flexibility: http://www.daz3d.com/fantasy-shapes-for-genesis

I'm afraid you are going to have to use scaling, the child morph is deliberately set to break the genitals. There are some scaling presets, both free and for sale, if you look around (one set was in the Christmas PA give away).

Thank you for the replies. Specifically, I was wanting to try to recreate the characters shown here...

As the race is much shorter than the 'human' models in game. And thank you for the resources. I'll check them out and try to figure out what I can come up with.
