Kinematics Expert Needed

I'm using a Gen 2 model in Cinema 4d.  The FBX file brings over a skin deformer that allows you to bend the mesh with the skeleton.  But I can't seem to create the model to the size (180ish centimeters on the Y axis) I need and any scaling (or pert near anything else you do) ruins the skin deformer forcing me to re bind the model and skeleton.  And I'm cool with that.  But I have to now apply kinematics to the skeleton and here's where I need help. 

 

Will I be able to export BVH (motion capture) files from Daz and apply them to the new rig without worrying about applying kinematics?  I doubt it.  Life is not that easy.

And if I have to apply kinematics, do I have to apply it just like the daz model has it.  I'm pretty sure the limbs are all IK but what about the shoulders, the hips and the neck?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
