Shader or shader preset? Which shader is it - if it's a preset, and the shader itself is updated for DS 4.5 (in most cases updated for DS4 will do) then there shouldn't be any need to updated the preset, though you can by saving it (File>Save as>Shader preset with the surface using the preset selected, or File>Save as>Materials preset if it's settings for a particular item)..
