...just using the base SSS at default settings. Andrea IBL light set.
This looks like a it could become a learning curve that could be close to that of Blender after considering all the channels involved just for the surfaces as well as the lighting.
Who doesn't?
Dana
erm... on Renderosity? o.0 ... (I have no complaints about the DAZ store finding things now - the two stores seem to have 'swapped' features - for awhile now Rendo would find things and DAZ wouldn't, now the status seems to have inverted >_<).

Oh, sorry. Somehow I completely missed "RMP". :red:

I cannot find the new complaint thread so I cannot join it!
You're in it
@Kyoto: nice!
Complaints: IRS trouble. They apparently decided that a bunch of my deductions due to spousal support then my agency sent ut a warning that the IRS was gong to take a lot of y paycheck, and my ex-landlady appears to have thrown it away and not told me. So I get to spend all morning (or longer) squabbling with the IRS at their office down the road! :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh:
They're taking so much there's not enough left for next weeks rent, so if they don't let me have more, there are going to be serious and unfortunate repercussions. Feh.
I can't catch a break, I swear.
Thanks!
...ugh, they are no fun to deal with (the IRS) because they don't care what kind of hardship it places on your life. Surprising they don't go around kneecapping people.
Had to deal with them 15 years ago because of my unemployment payments several years earlier as well as a screw up by my company's then HR manager on my deduction status. During the UC orientation session (which back then was done as a group rather than individual affair) the state employment officer never said a word that one had to pay taxes on UC benefits (this was the first time I ever filed for them). Now they do tell you up front and even give you an option to have a portion of each benefit payment set aside for tax purposes (still don't understand this, a tax on a benefit that is paid for by...a tax, sounds rather entropic).
Ended up owing back taxes because of both incidents that was deducted from my paycheques for the next two and a half years.
Unfortunately where the IRS is concerned, the burden is always dumped on the the one initially screwed rather than the one who actually screwed up.
Ah, but the results are worth it. I've been tweaking my tiny brain out trying it grasp it.
There need to be some realism presets, like the toon one; it would help a lot.
Don't you know it

I thought that stood for Royal Mounted Police. :)

...still playing around with AoA's Metalized Glass Shaders. Don't have anything quite to show yet as my latest experiment ended up turning into a full blown scene.
While working on it, discovered more content I purchased but never DL'd. Wanted to use the Zepplin Star, and Real Metal Shaders but no where in the archives even though I bought them last year. Now i have to go to a hotspot as I had four failures trying to DL the Zeppelin from home. Ugh I want to knock those sat dishes off the roof of the house next door that are right in LOS of my flat.

I want Australian internet speeds in the US.

You purchase things from the Royal Mounted Police? :)

A friend of mine has Jack Russel terriers, they're always chasing squirrels and chipmunks. He has to yell at them to stop, otherwise, as you said...it wouldn't be pretty.
Dana
My Jack Russell barked at squirrels in the yard (I got an old farm so there's big oak trees and lotsa acorns) until one day I told him the squirrels were laughing at him and calling him names (because the squirrels make that chuffing sound that folks around here call "barking")
Jack has never listened to me before or since, but I swear he has not barked at a squirrel since that time.
Complaint: He ignores any other command including "no". On the other hand he responds well to "Do you want a cookie?" (Milkbone)
of course he wants a cookie, lol
Why? Are they that fast? Mine is pretty fast. I know mine is capable of 4 Megabytes per second. Not megabits, Megabytes. But I only saw that once. Most sites can't spit out files that fast. This one only gets to around 1.1 to 1.5 Megabytes per second. Still not bad. Adam Thwaites' site, most-digital-creations, has two speeds...a slower one for the freebies, and a very fast one for the paid items.

thanks :)
hmm look what was at the bottom of the page "Odd Food Kills Joint Pain
Weird Food from the Himalayas fights off painful joint pain for good."
it's beyond painful to see pictures of the tornado aftermath
I thought that stood for Royal Mounted Police. :)

...should I, shouldn't I, should I, shouldn't I...
...nah, best to leave that one to the Daily Mirror or Sun.

No, very slow (the electrons have to run about under the sea, remember, plus flip their "z"s into "s"s and toss in "u"s in various places ;-). We're lucky to get a sustained 200 kiloBYTES/sec... >_<... and thankfully this isn't a 'real time forum', 'cause ping times are generally around 250-300msec to US servers (~_~).

My internet gives me the ability to get 15MB/s but I normally get 1 MB/s- 4.5MB/s on DAZ
...at the hotspot now and the DL that kept failing at home (with projected times of 2 - 3 hours) just took four minutes.
gotta luv the hotspots :) ++1 if there's beer at the hotspot
Now that's asking to much
...the one I'm currently at does, and it's their Wednesday All Day Happy Hour - 2.50 pints fine of handcrafted ale. Cheaper than a Frappucino over at Starbucks.

Nice!
Morning. Sunny under a big bright blue sky today, autumn colours everywhere as if my 'hood is going rusty :)
I logged in to reply to the line above. That is the funniest thing I've read on the Daz forums recently. lol
I just checked the time for Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 2:32 AM AEST (UTC/GMT +10 hours).
Was some kind of hurry up going on at the time
Oh noes
