Smart Content tab not working

I tried searching on this, but the forum search seems to be broken.
DS 4.6.0.16 64-bit crashed recently, and ever since then nothing has been showing up on the Smart Content tab. I'm assuming I have a corrupt database. Is there a backup? Or instructions on how to get it working again? And if I have to recreate it from scratch, do I lose all of the meta data for the products I installed? Thanks!

I have the same problem after I used the DIM. I am waiting for a solution to this issue.
If I figure something out I will post it here.
Smart Content relies on the CMS (Content Management Service) to be running. Have you checked to see if it is running in Task Manager?
To start it again, go to Start > All Programs > DAZ 3D > Content Management service, and start it from there.
Now that you mention it, the DIM did crash on me, and DAZ Studio would almost immediately crash on launch after that until I rebooted. So it very well could be DIM related (makes sense, since it is installing products and updating metadata).
According the Windows Event logs, the CMS is crashing shortly after starting (or perhaps, shortly after something tries to use it).
Did you try to restart it using the icon in All Programs?
If that doesn't work, you could uninstall it the CMS from the same place, and reinstall DAZ Studio, which will install the latest version of the CMS.
Yes. Trying the reinstall. Not seeing anything, and ran for a while, but eventually crashed. :(
If you do not have any Categories of your own set up, then by deleting the databases, it may reinstall correctly.
Deleting the databases cannot be undone, but the Metadata that is used by Smart Content wont be lost, it can be put back into the new databases that will be created. Any data that you have created will be lost, unless you have a backup of it.
Before you take that step, you could try using the Content DB Maintenance options from the drop down menu in the Content Library, but resetting the database loses all of your data as well. The databases can be repopulated from the Metadata, but not anything that you created yourself, like your own Categories.
