Hi,

i hope i am right in this section with my question.

I actually use the Daz Studio 4.5 Pro and it works great on my PC but i also wanted to use it on my notebook which is a Lenovo ThinkPad X121e with AMD E450 APU and AMD Radeon HD 6320 graphics card + 8GB DDR3 RAM (Win8 64bit).

So installation worked well but if i want to start the program it opens but in that moment i get an error message about some Open GL or so (not sure, need to check again) and i was looking on the net about that issue and it's said that i have to get the newest driver for my graphic card but it already is the newest driver, no updates and i think my graphic card won't support that feature.

So my question is, is there any other way to use that program on my notebook?

My old PC was inspiron 530S, had the same problem, could not run DS on it at all. Carrara no problem, even huge scenes from howie would load up and work, although the viewport was realllllllly slugish. Could run Zbrush with up to 4 million polys before it would start to behave badly. But DS, no go.

The tech specs are here, including minimum version of OpenGL your graphics card must be capable of running: http://www.daz3d.com/products/daz-studio/daz-studio-tech-specs/

I think your graphics card should (at least in theory) be okay. I run DS4.x on two computers, one of which is an older laptop that overall seems to be inferior to yours. Try it again and see if you can find out more about the error message...

Checked for error message now and it says:

DAZ Studio requires at least OpenGL version 1.3. Your machine currently provides OpenGL 1.1. Please contact your video card provider to get updated drivers or upgrade to an OpenGL 1.3 compatible graphics card.

So after that message i was checking for a driver but it always said it's the newest one, also looking on google for upgrade OpenGL 1.1 to 1.3 and it always say to do an upgrade of the driver

GO to your graphics card manufactures site and download the current driver. SO if you have an nVidia go to there site and download it. Never let Windows update update you GPU

it's an ATI HD Radeon graphics card (i'm more a fan of nvidia as i also use it on my gaming pc but the notebook was only for net and working, so i thought it was good enough)

Go to here and enter in the info or it has an auto detect and it will pull up the proper drivers http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
