    Well, well, well, looky here. My wait was not long at all. I said to myself at the start, Seven days or Seven Pages, whichever came first. All you happy folks made my day and week. For that you get this as a reward.

    RRRR Summer Contest MINI contest #1... Yes I said number one.

    Here are the things I call rules...

    1. Standard RRRR rolls. 4 items at random, nothing hard so far... (Even the LB's only need 4)... cool huh?
    2. Maximum of two entries per person... ah, I know but lets give others a chance. This is timed after all.
    3. This is Themed!! That's right you must match the theme in your renders.
    4. The theme is: Weather or Not! Huh? you say. Weather, Hot summer day, cold winter night but weather must show.
    5. Postwork not only allowed but encouraged.
    6. Start date NOW and end date is June 4th at Daz Midnight. One week only.
    7. All Mini Contest renders MUST have Mini Contest in the Tag's to be eligible to win win.
    8. Tags and Titles are required to be eligible and must be in the RRRR Mini Contest Thread for judging.

    Now for the Prize: One Winner and only one Chosen by judges I hold close, will get a $25.00 Daz GC.

    So get to playing in the Mini and keep playing in MAIN RRRR Summer as well.
    A new RRRR Mini Contest Entry thread will Posted to this forum.

    I decided to do yet another spin - do two takes on my draw, one more dramatic, one more comic (hopefully ;) This was another way to train the ol' creative muscles. Finding a way to incorporate a 2d environment into a huge 3d interior is always a challenge not once but twice .

    A mini-RRRR! Excellent!!

    It'll be a nice distraction from my current pull - I have a major mash-up working here, and it's driving me nuts! (Not all that much of a 'road trip', I'll admit, but still...!) Hacking West Park Lobby (my apologies, Jack; I'll try not to do too much damage!), mucking about in Blender.... Obviously some new-fangled definition of the word 'fun', with which I have hitherto been unfamiliar!

    Still and all, I'm always up for an RRRR, be it mini, maxi, mega, or mainstream! And so..., to it!

    Yep, that's David, in all his puny, pint-sized glory. A real runt, isn't he? Almost makes you want to kick sand in his face! :coolgrin:

    (But in his defense, Victoria is wearing some rather tall shoes - seriously thick soles, and spike heels - but even barefoot, she's at least half-a-head taller than little Davito.)

    I am definitely making progress!

    My current (#6) pull is turning out to be something of a beast, what with three scene items. But I came up with an idea (what I think is called a 'mash-up'!) Unfortunately, that idea required me to take a few, shall we say, "liberties" with one of the environments - in this case, Jack Tomalin's West Park Lobby.

    I needed to add a doorway from the lobby into another part of the scene, as well as get rid of another one, so I hacked the crap out of his geometry! Here's a shot of the WIP, just because I'm feeling insufferably smug for having gone into Blender, and gotten back out alive! (This is not the entry; I'm just showing off!)

    I still have a few details to add (like, oh, populating the scene, among other trivialities), but by golly, I think I might actually pull this sucker off!

    I just hope Jack doesn't sue!

    Yep Fog would count as weather. Weather or not others agree it's my contest so yes it's weather in the contest. Render on.

    @Lucy: Nice one: Dont forget to toss it in the Mini thread (poor thing got buried) the votes will be done only from renders posted to it.

    I'm in the process of trying to render my first entry... I should thank you all for making me fix the bugs with DSON, learn PPro new features, and fiddling with SSS in DS2.6. The render is looking to be very unspectacular, but it's become a learning experience. Want it finished, though, so I can have a hand at the mini contest!!
