Samsung 960 Pro Question: Does it actually help Daz Studio?

I know the benchmark speeds are insane:

http://ssd.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Samsung-850-Evo-250GB-vs-Samsung-960-Pro-NVMe-PCIe-M2-512GB/2977vsm182182

However, has anyone noticed speed bumps with this new M.2 technology?  I don't even care if its minimal.  I might even consider it if its 10 seconds faster.  My Samsung 850 Evo is getting old anyway.

Thanks.

    No.

    ... Is the simple answer

To ellaborate; SSDs help general PC useage, and if RAM is an issue, will make SWAP work slightly faster, which will not really help as you'll still notice a significant slowdown when running out of RAM.

If you're low on RAM, the cash would be better spent putting it there.

If you need more storage space, then that's a different issue; I use SSDs for storage (have a 2GB and a 1GB), but a mechanical drive would be a cheaper option. I like the fact that SSDs are much quieter (basically they are silent).

    Edit:

If your C drive SSD (presuming the 850 EVO) is running short on space, then that is a different issue again. You'll possibly notice some differences if you upgrade, but not all will be related to the fact the 960 is a faster SSD; SSDs slow down as they fill up, which is the reverse of mechanicals which access data faster as the internal parts of the platters spin faster than those on the outside (to illustrate: think of a car or cycle wheel).

The longer answer: you might notice a difference, but if it's worth the amount of cash you're expending, well that's your decission. :)

    Edit2:

Thinking about it: replaceing the SSD for the same type with more capacity could also produce a smoother experience - relates to if your current SSD is getting full.

Does not matter how "insane" the performance is, it's still many thousand times slower than RAM, so no, and just as nicstt said, if your computer don't have enough RAM and start swapping you need more RAM not an SSD.
