changing character

I have made a Character with Victoria 4.2 but somehow i think Genesis is much easier to handle, also better for fitting some clothes, so my question is now, can i change or add some kind of Genesis to my character without changing it too much? I don't like the idea to start a fully new character as i've made the character out from a foto that took me a lot of time.

    Only Gen X full can transfer Characters from Gen4 to the Genesis mesh. It is not free and requires you to have the Genesis V4 shape and I believe that is all for just a V4 transfer. I'm not 100% sure because I do just start over and use Genesis.

    I was using V4 all the time before as i knew how to use it but was impressed how easy it is to use Genesis for customization and all the other things.

    So i can only use V4 from Genesis but not Genesis from V4?

    Totally different meshes, V4 is a Gen4 mesh and Genesis is the New Gen5 mesh. Just like the other figures only helpers of some kind will transfer from one generation mesh to another.

    But Genesis and DS can (mostly) use the Gen4 clothing and will use all Gen4 textures without needing anything that is built in. So V4 clothing Mostly, and hairs, M4 clothing and hairs and K4 clothing and hairs can be used and all the textures also.

    I hope that helps. Morphs for V4 and such need a tool to be transferred.
