Daz & Blender

Hi
So i have made a hallway in blender with materials and lighting. NOW i can either import/append a DAZ model into the blender scene or export the hallway and import into DAZ as i understand it BUT which will be the easiest to do ? which method will bring the materials along?
Ive read up on it and frankly it seems difficult. I have managed to bring a model into the blender scene but the materials changed and i tried bringing in the hallway into DAZ but the materials did not stay linked to their original structures.

You could look at Casual's Teleblender script in the Freebies forum, though I don't know how that copes with current materials.
Alternatively you could render the hallway in Blender with a simple version of the DS figure, not trying to get an exact match but good enough to cast shadows and reflections, then render the DS figure in DS with an imported version of the Blender model, again not trying to get an exact match, and also generate a mask (using a separate render of just the figure saved to Tiff or PNG or using Canvasses in Iray) and use that to composite the figure render from DS into the hallway render from Blender. Materials and lights don't generally translate well so it's best to decide on one application for rendering and do all your lighting and materials in that.
you can also try this blender plugin

I could just render the blender hallway in blender, then render the model in DAZ and photoshop them both together. The thing is to get the lighting the same, that is my main concern.
I'll give it a try thx
