Help fix axis please?

I noticed my world axis changed...

before there were many lines, I believe to mark meters, and they marked a huge area... Now I don't see these anymore...

Did this happen in a recent update?

How does your axis show in Texture Shaded mode?

Is there a way to go back the way it was?

I think it may be that the minor grid line colour is the same as the viewport backdrop colour (Window>Style>Customise Style).
