Is there any development for Bryce Pro other than fixes and links?

I've been using Bryce since Kai made the first boxed app in the late 90's?. I still have the original book and discs. I've had and used Bryce for book and magazine covers, visual illustrations and even animations and design work. I've had MAYA and 3DSMAX but this is more intuitive. I would like to see Bryce move into more hi-end features and apply to VR and other up and coming 3D uses.\

My question is if Daz development has any plans or is the code too old? We are talking almost 20 years.
