Like all of your animations I've seen... love it!
Love the scenery backgrounds and the dino-like characters in your other's... but this is really cool too!

HOLDING UP AND WAVING HAND IN BACK OF ROOM! I have a few questions? WHere did the model come from? 2) is there any POSER involved here 3) Are you using key framed movements? What kind of tweeners? is the IK used? 4) Did you RIG this model in Carrrara? If so did you have to use weight mapping to adjust any BONES effects

it's Genesis - so there was nothing to do in Carrara - just load and play
I never use Poser - just DazStudio
hope that's what you wanted to know .

    Hi Big H

I think what many people are asking is the same thing. ...

    What is it .

Motion capture,. hand made key-frame animation.

There are elements of the animation which look like accurate motion capture of a real human figure.
which is why I assumed that it had been done this way.

If it's not motion capture,.. If you've animated that by hand, then you have an extreme talent.

Do you intend to make these animations available as Aniblocks / NLA Clips,. BVH,...
or, simply show what you've done so far.

just wanted to show what can be done - it is not Motion capture .
can't give out the file .

    Nice lighting.

Hands are a bit "dead". Some simple hand poses in a separate NLA track would do wonders.

Great movement overall, but I'm with Holly, the hands need some animation too, and there was once or twice I thought the foot position didn't look quite right. But all in all, a terrific example of what can be done.

The dance videos are surprisingly smooth. I don't know if it's because it's Genesis 2. I doubt it.

If this is not motion capture, then this comes from a one-of-a-kind supremely talented keyframing artist, who must have spent six months on that little scene alone. At least, it appears to me that way.

Come on, bigh, fess up. Where does it come from?

You know the first thing I did with G2{1.1} was slap a V5 dynamic dress on her and run her through the motions. Aniblocks for mil4 figures gave me feet at bad angles and no hand poses, but that was to be expected. And of coarse I ran in to the usually issues with dynamic cloth and animate; I'd like to think if I had animate 2 instead of lite, I could fix it.

None the less baring issues I expected, it came out nice and fairly smooth; better then studio. If it wasn't for the fact rendering it; in my opinion, would be 40 seconds of fail, I'd show it.

Sorry bigh, I don't do guessing games. So I'll learn how you got it that smooth when you tell us.

I don't think it is manual keyframed because of the foot sliding. I think it is from the Carnegie BVH files, because many have foot sliding problems. But it is not bad.
