Can I "inject" the Genesis 2 male body into a Genesis 2 female body?

And if not, could somebody tell me why?

I read about "Morph injection", and I wondered if that was what I needed.

Thank you!

  • The Genesis figures don't use injection, the moirphs are loaded 9as general setup, not the actual position changes) with the figure. As I recall the male adn female figures do use the same topology so it is possible for them to share, though obviously some areas will work better than others. It does require a bit of fiddling with a text editor, to chnage the figure reference in the .dsf file, I think.

  • Do you mean I should perhaps change the value in the .dsx file

    <Compatibility VALUE="/Genesis 2/Male"/>

    ?

    Can I add an additional model name here?

    Or do I have to change the .duf file like that? ->

    "/People/Genesis%202%20Male/Shapes/Antonios/AntonioShapes/...duf"

  • I'm not sure, it's something people did manage to do but I didn't try. the file would certainly have to be moved to the morphs folder for the figure used, but I can't recall if all refernces had to be edited (no harm in trying).

  • You'll need to copy the .DSF file for the actual morph from the data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 2/Male/whatever directory to a corresponding directory in data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 2/Female/ and edit the copy to change all references to "Male" into "Female". I think you also have to either add or remove a "1" somewhere, but I don't recall the details off hand. You should be able to figure it out by looking at existing male and female morph files.

  • Thank you!
