RESOLVED: Dumb Question ... Lost and Found

Hello, I'm curious about meta data and my searches thus far have not answered my questions. Perhaps I'm not phrasing them correctly for the seach engine to respond accordingly. My basic question is, can users (like me) add meta data to items in order to get them out of the 'Lost and Found' category in DAZ Studio 4.10?

I apologize if this is addressed elsewhere. A point in the right direction would be awesome. Thank you.

  • You can right-click on items (or folders) and select Categorise. Remember, if you are looking at the products tab in Smart Content, that a product will appear under Lost and Found if onyl oen of its files is not categorised - in many cases you won't need to categorise the whole product, and probably won't want to if you are happy with the standard categorisation.

  • I'm curious. I am looking at my Smart Content screen and have the Lost and Found category displaying. When I right click on the item, I do not see a Categorize option. I have an 'edit metadata' option. Is that the same thing? I don't see where I can make changes although this is called and 'edit' option.

  • You do the caegorisation (on files) in the Content Library pane. Find the files that are not categorised (are in lost and Found), right-click, Categorise, select the desired categiry.

  • There we go. Thank you! I was in the wrong place. I appreciate your patience.
