I really like what Dogz did with that set.

You know you have a problem when you start trawling stores and think that would look good on M5. This is rpublishing's elven desire made for V4. Autofitted to M5. Again test render, one camera no lights. I'm feeling the urge to do a proper render here.

That dose look good, like some sportswear I've seen at the Olympics, with more flashiness to it. Funny how over the years styles migrate from gender to gender, this century guys wear makeup, and next the ladies do. Back then they were Bikinis, this time around there Speedos. Perhaps next decade the guys will be wearing the poodle-skirts, lol.

A little break from the Norm. This is a test render of the Ballet outfit that was on sale a couple of weeks ago or so. It's a Gen2 outfit. I haven't really jumped on the Gen2 train but I did buy the morphs after I got V6 for free.

Anyhow, first up we have Lucille for V6 on Gen2 with Milen hair and the ballet outfit

Next we have Shayana from rendo for G1 using the Genesis fit for Milen hair.
Both use the poses which come with the bundle. I've converted using Sickleyield's G2 clone. This is straight out of the box without any adjustments. Note the little bit of pokethrough.

Another test render. This time using Sabby's (Rendo) Evette for Genesis and Dimension Theory's presets for AOA's lights. Don't normally use lights because my pc likes to crash when I do that but this time it rendered no crashing. I'm wondering if I should push the boat out and use a background!

That hair looks quite nice on the ballerina. She's very graceful.
And your man is certainly interesting. It's fun exploring (but I doubt that outfit hits Macy's department store anytime soon...)

Nice!, I picked up that Ballet outfit as well, tho I have yet to even see if it installed correctly. So much new stuff to go threw here, lol.

The poses really are quite lovely. The vendor has taken a lot of time to make proper ballet poses.

Knowing my luck if I did happen to see a guy in that outfit he wouldn't look as good as M5.

Xena's stuff is always top notch. This has been a really bad month for new stuff. I'm terrifed to look at the number of items installed figure.

The DIM has 3200 and counting items. I thought 3k was bad. Some I'm attempting to render something. This time I used the scene builder and created surfer dude. This uses the included content and surfer lights. And the computer didn't crash with more than one light. Amazing.

This was rendered as a bit of a joke but strangely Hiro seems to like his soul.

I've starting going through the interactive classes, they're pretty good for beginners. I've rendered barefoot dancer and the barefoot dancer with the dagger. The second render took my old dell box 30 minutes to complete. I'm not sure I like the lighting. It seems to make it look like she has a skin disease.

What is your render setting for shadow samples? Try 28 and see if that gets rid of the patterns/grunge on the skin.

I have a new pc with lots and lots of ram so I'm going to try rendering large sets. Today I have rendered (in under a minute woo!)
    Chablis: http://www.daz3d.com/chablis-for-genesis-v4
    Steampunk Hideaway: http://www.daz3d.com/steam-punk-hide-away
    Xandra for Genesis: http://www.daz3d.com/xandra-for-genesis/
    Beautiful black hairstyles: http://www.daz3d.com/beautiful-black-hairstyles

I think I need to fix the lighting. I'm not too sure about those lines on her legs. Does it have something to do with shadow sampling?

Tried using Chablis lights but I think the set has too much light already. This happened.

Fpr lights: Do you have Jason, Ruins of Angkor Wat (or the Temple)? Enchanted Island also has good lights. Another one is Tomb of Helena.
Barn Yard is another of my favorites.

Those coloured blocks are a known 3Delight bug - they happen when you use Deep Shadow maps for shadow-casting lights. Set any lights that are casting shadows to use ray-traced shadows instead and the blocks should go away, though the render may get a bit slower.

Ok, so I'm supposed to be applying for a job today. Which of course means today was the day I decided to try modelling in Hexagon.

I am following Fugazi's Genesis Starter kit course: http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-starter-kit which includes a starter mesh. The videos are clear and easy to follow... unless you are me. I have managed to make a number of misteps. The worst of these is somehow breaking my mesh. surprise The steps should work in any modelling program.

    Mesh so far

Well at least you're trying which is more than I can say (I bought that product too. I heard that vendor makes good videos, and I picked up a few over at Renderosity. I can't remember what they are though. I think Patience55 was the one who told me about them. (I put the link so if you want to message Patience you can. Very helpful person. If she doesn't know what is happening, she'll simply say so.)

Thanks for the suggestion. I also have some of his rendo videos which I haven't watched! How is your zbrush modelling going?
