I'll never figure out this program...

There is so much potential in Daz...but it's so messed up to work with. Just something simple like loading a Michael 5 Heroic character into a blank scene turns out the craziest hermaphrodite character. What gives Daz?

It sounds like you have a morph installed which has been saved as "on", so it's always applied. There are a couple of third-party morphs that do this.

Thanks. I'll look into that. Any way to tell if a morph is installed...and how to deactivate it? What's more aggrivating is that I click on what should be a pretty stock item...a generic micheal character...and I get something totally different.

The moderator deleted the previous post....sorry about that didn't consider the nudity of the image. Here's the image with modest bars in place.

Image removed for nudity. Please see this thread for info: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/3279_98/

There was a Warrior Woman character at ShareCG that did this. Ideally you would identify the guilty morph and remove or edit it, but for now you can do this:

    Make sure Genesis is selected.

Right-click on the tab of the Parameters pane - the vertical tab at top-right of your screenshot - and from the menu select Zero>Zero Figure Shape.

If you now go to the Currently Used group in the Parameters pane, with Genesis selected, you should see the name of the morph that has a non-zero default value if you want to find the guilty party. In any event, you should now be able to apply your character shape to the zeroed figure and have it work correctly.

Thanks. That Zero FIgure command did the trick. BTW, not sure what the specifics are on nudity, but I'm surprised they removed the second image I posted with black bars over the figure's naughty bits.

Basically, if you're going to conceal the nudity do it in a tasteful manner, either by clothing the figure or posing them in a way which obscures it. Failing that, you can add props to a scene to keep their modesty.

In general though, when doing examples (unless they're texture examples) the best way is to simply show them with the basic grey material rather than using skin tones. As long as there are no visible genitals, those will pass even if they're unclothed.

The Link provided covers the proper way to show renders that are against the TOS. The use of bars was mentioned as NOT allowed. A SIMPLE bathing suit or NO texture or the V4 purple undies texture all would be considered proper.
