Studio Crashing a lot more than usual

I'm running into crashes with DAZ Studio a lot more than I used to. This last time was with a 10 hour render. I thought it looked pretty grainy, so  when I pressed cancel to save it, the message came up that Studio had crashed. Who knows how long ago and would I care to submit a bug report. This is about the 3rd time this week, and I've never previously gotten nearly as much crashes as I have with this version.

What can I do? I need to be able to rely on my images being ready for post work. And it seems totally random. I rendered the same image the night before successfully, but deided to remove an item, change a skin, and fabric, and the second time studio choked.

@Serene Night "I'm running into crashes with DAZ Studio a lot more than I used to"

Have you considered that you may be seeing hardware failure precursors? I've seen things like this when RAM was starting to fail or when a CPU was beginning to overheat etc.

No, because this version of studio has been buggy In other ways as well such as being slower to render and to compile. Anything is possible but this version seems more lemony than the previous ones in terms of issues.

After a couple (or so) of renders, try closing Studio, then re-opening Studio. That's what I now have to do, otherwise I get crashes, or other problems, such as Studio ignoring the GPU and rendering with the CPU. Closing and re-opening seems to settle Studio down. And save your scenes, of course. DS 4.10 seems to be more unstable than 4.9, hopefully the next release will be more robust.

Studio 4.10 hasn't been slower or buggier than the previous version for me, that's why I asked about hardware failures. RAM issues or overheating on he CPU could also account for system issues seen as "bugs".

I will submit the bug reports Daz generates when it crashes and see. At this point though tech support seems highly backlogged.

Other than dForce simulation errors that require Daz Studio to be restarted, DS 4.10 is very reliable for me so far.

Yeah, Ive had trouble with it. It started last year with the zooming viewport bug, and now the DAZ Studio has stopped responding error. Glad it works for you.
